    Cute coffee shop in Downtown Sunnyvale! We're lucky to have a couple good coffee shops downtown. Bean scene has consistently good coffee and a nice vibe. You'll see locals meeting, students studying, and people reading here. I found their pastries not my favorite so I would skip those. I want to try some other food here next time. Service is fast. It's open on Sundays but beware it can have long lines in the weekend mornings.

    We visited the Bean Scene Cafe on a Saturday afternoon and found it pretty busy. The interior was cozy, with antique-looking wooden furniture. Some of the seating looked like it had once been part of a church pew. I ordered an Iced Island Latte and Chicken Melt. The food menu was pretty limited, but they also had some breakfast plates and salads. Service was friendly and while my drink came out very quickly, the sandwich took a while. The Iced Island Latte tasted great and was surprisingly caffeinated considering its light, creamy color. I loved the macadamia nut flavor! The Chicken Melt was pretty good too, and very filling. My friend also enjoyed his Caramel Latte and Chicken Salad Sandwich. Overall, the Bean Scene Cafe is nothing fancy/trendy, but a solid choice for coffee and a quick lunch. Would return!
